Thanksgiving is right around the corner and that can only mean one thing……the start of ski season at many area ski resorts. Here’s an update on some of our favorite ski areas. It looks like Attitash is making snow and plans to open mid November if possible. Jay Peak, one of the closest ski resorts to our northern neighbors, cranked their snow guns last night and are aiming to open for Thanksgiving weekend. Mad River Glen has about 5 or 6 inches of snow at the top of the hill and is looking to open as soon as possible as of Thanksgiving weekend. The guns are blasting at Waterville Valley and they are looking at an opening date of November 17. Heading into New York, it looks like Gore Mountain is planning on an opening date of November 23rd, weather permitting. Happy skiing!
